Dr. Mahdi Zareei is a research professor in telecommunication, machine learning and cybersecurity at department of Computer Science, School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara. Mahdi Zareei received his M.Sc in Computer Network from University of Science, Malaysia (USM) in 2011. In 2013, he joined Communication Systems and Networks research group at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) as a PhD student. He received JASSO Scholarship in 2015 to performed part of his PhD research at Osaka University and graduated from his PhD in 2016. In 2017 he joined Tecnologico de Monterrey as a postdoctoral researcher which later he started working as a research professor.
He has published more than 40 papers in top ISI indexed journals and international conferences. He won 3 best paper awards in international conferences, and 2 best proposal awards from The Japanese Chamber of Trade & Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM). He is a member of the National Researchers Council, currently as Level 1 (SNI, Nivel I) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Access and Ad Hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks Journals and also serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals.
